Pakistan reaffirms solidarity with China as Ishaq Dar meets Ambassador Jiang Zaidong

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan yesterday reiterated its unwavering solidarity with China during a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to the Foreign Office, Dar offered heartfelt condolences on behalf of Pakistan over the tragic killing of three Chinese nationals in Tajikistan, near the Afghan border. He conveyed deep sympathies to the families of the victims and assured China that Pakistan shares its grief during this difficult moment.

The Deputy Prime Minister also expressed sorrow over the recent deadly fires at the Wang Fuk Court residential complex in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, which resulted in multiple casualties. He said Pakistan stands firmly with China and its people as they cope with the tragedy. During the meeting, both sides reviewed the full spectrum of Pakistan-China bilateral cooperation, including ongoing collaborations across economic, development, and strategic sectors. They also discussed recent regional and international developments of mutual concern.
