Pakistan resiliently fought COVID-19 under remarkable leadership of PM Khan: Ambassador Yao Jing

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of 250 beds state-of-the-art Isolation Hospital and Infectious Treatment Center (IHITC), Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing termed the completion of project in record time as a ‘miracle’. Ambassador also lauded Prime Minister’s leadership and role of National Command and Operations Center in effectively combatting COVID-19 crisis. He further hoped that Pakistan would soon come out of the virus.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing has said that building an isolation hospital in a period of forty days by Pakistan is nothing short of a miracle.

In a statement, the Chinese ambassador said, “I am very proud to have attended the inauguration of the Isolation Hospital”. He said that he has witnessed the work being done by the NCOC, headed by Prime Minister Imran Khan, and he is very impressed.

Yao Jing said the NCOC’s command system was helping prevent and control the deadly virus. He was sure that with the efforts of the Pakistani government and people, the country will get rid of the virus very soon.

Earlier on, the Prime Minister inaugurated the 250-bed Islamabad Isolation hospital and infectious treatment center for medical assistance of patients suffering from viral diseases.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Chinese delegation were also accompanying the premier on the occasion. During the visit, Imran Khan was briefed over the facilities available at the hospital.

It is to be mentioned here that state of the art facility was constructed in record forty days to meet additional requirements to ease pressure from capital hospitals.

Meanwhile, there has been an improvement in the number of recoveries from COVID-19 in Pakistan with figure now reaching 145,311.

Pakistan has confirmed 61 deaths in a single day by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 240,848. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 4,983.
