Pakistan to provide investor-friendly environment for Chinese investment in agriculture: Rana Tanveer
Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to deepening its strategic economic partnership with China by offering an investor-friendly environment, particularly in agriculture and food security, at the Pakistan–China Investment Conference. Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain said Pakistan aims to enable Chinese enterprises to grow and innovate alongside local partners, highlighting strong trade ties, progress under CPEC Phase II, and 41 MoUs signed in 2025 covering modern agriculture and technology transfer. Senior officials emphasized vast investment opportunities in agri-inputs, machinery, food processing and value addition, supported by government reforms, liberal investment policies, digital customs procedures and facilitation mechanisms, with the conference attended by 115 Chinese and 165 Pakistani companies.
