PCJCCI proposes to set up a China-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor parallel to CPEC
In order to learn from Chinese experience in the field of economy and societal reforms, Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) President SM Naveed has put forward an idea of establishing a corridor of knowledge between Pakistan and China. Chinese practices, he said, have uplifted Chinese society in every field. Moreover, he said that shared knowledge in areas of expertise such as products, services, research and innovation, infrastructure, digital technology, social and cultural studies would uphold the one region, one corridor strategy of both the countries.
LAHORE: Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) President SM Naveed has proposed a Pakistan-China knowledge portal parallel to the joint Economic Corridor for exchange of expert knowledge between the two nations.
He shared this proposal on Thursday during a think tank meeting held at the PCJCCI. He said that Chinese research and knowledge would highly be useful in the economic and social stability of Pakistan. Research and experience based knowledge could be used to enhance and flourish the economic growth worldwide.
PCJCCI Senior Vice President Daud Ahmed, Vice President Khalid Raffique Chaudhary and Salahuddin Hanif also spoke on the occasion and said that shared knowledge in areas of expertise such as products, services, research and innovation, infrastructure, digital technology, social and cultural studies would uphold the one region, one corridor strategy of both the countries. The China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) could be regarded as the foundation of this knowledge portal and it would highlight the areas in which Pakistan-China knowledge collaboration would be significant, they added.
