PM Shehbaz Sharif urges swift action on CPEC phase-II coordination

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized enhanced coordination among ministries to accelerate progress on China Pakistan Economic Corridor II during a meeting in Islamabad. He stressed zero tolerance for delays in CPEC II completion and urged prioritizing Gwadar port’s functionality by importing via Gwadar. He expressed contentment with historic Pak-China economic cooperation and urged institutions to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes. Recognizing China as a steadfast ally, he instructed ensuring robust security for Chinese nationals.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed all ministries to further strengthen their coordination in order to expedite the China Pakistan Economic Corridor II.

Chairing a meeting in Islamabad today to review the CPEC and other projects under the banner of Chinese investment, he made it clear that any kind of delay in the completion of CPEC II will not be tolerated.

In order to make Gwadar port fully functional, the Prime Minister ordered authorities concerned to import a significant portion via Gwadar.

Expressing satisfaction over the Pak-China economic cooperation at the highest level in history, Shehbaz Sharif called for relevant institutions to ensure the yielding positive results for both countries.

Terming China as a lasting friend of Pakistan, the Prime Minister directed relevant authorities to ensure fool proof security to Chinese nationals.
