PM to inaugurate CPEC Western Route on Tuesday

Peshawar—Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif will visit Dera Ismael Khan on 17th May to inaugurate Western Route of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project and other mega projects. Some important Federal Ministers will also accompany the prime minister during the visit.

JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman arrived in D.I. Khan to review the arrangements for the visit of prime minister.
Maulana Fazal reviewed the arrangements of the public gathering at the Rata Kolachi Stadium in suburbs of D.I. Khan. Prime Minister will address the public gathering.

Maulana Fazal issued the instructions regarding arrangements of public gathering in the Stadium. Special security arrangements have been made regarding the visit of prime minister to Dera Ismael Khan.
Meanwhile, the groundbreaking ceremony of Hakla-Dera Ismail Khan Expressway is expected to be held next week.

An official of National Highway Authority said that the project envisaged construction of 285 kilometres four-lane expressway from Hakla on Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway to Yarik near Dera Ismail Khan on Indus Highway as part of western route of the CPEC.

He said that the proposed motorway would be built as a controlled access facility and includes provision of eleven interchanges, nineteen flyovers, fifteen bridges, seventy-four underpasses, two hundred fifty-nine culverts, and three major bridges.
