President Zardari Seeks Chinese Partnership for Modern Waste Management and Waste-to-Energy Projects
President Asif Ali Zardari, in a meeting with SUS Environment CEO Zhu Xiaoping in Shanghai, highlighted Pakistan’s urgent need for modern waste management solutions, particularly in Sindh. Both sides discussed urban waste treatment, waste-to-energy initiatives, and integrated solutions, with SUS expressing interest in investing in Pakistan.
President Asif Ali Zardari has emphasized Pakistan’s need for modern and efficient waste management systems, particularly in Sindh, and welcomed the prospect of Chinese collaboration in this critical sector.
The President made these remarks during a meeting with Mr. Zhu Xiaoping, CEO and Co-founder of SUS Environment Technology Company Limited, in Shanghai on Tuesday.
Discussions during the meeting focused on urban waste management solutions, waste-to-energy projects, and integrated treatment systems to tackle Pakistan’s growing urban challenges.
Mr. Zhu Xiaoping shared SUS Environment’s expertise in advanced waste treatment technologies and expressed interest in exploring investment opportunities in Pakistan.
First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, and Sindh Ministers Sharjeel Inam Memon and Syed Nasir Hussain Shah were also present on the occasion.
