Sindh Delegation Participates in Conference in Hunan, China
A high-level Sindh Government delegation led by Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon participated in the 2026 Hunan International Friendship Cities Economic and Trade Exchange Event and Cooperation Dialogue in Changsha, China. The delegation engaged with Hunan provincial leaders to explore stronger cooperation between Sindh and Hunan, particularly in investment, trade and people-to-people exchanges. The event brought together representatives from 28 countries and highlighted opportunities to develop stronger sister-province relations and expand economic ties between Sindh and Hunan.
A delegation of Sindh Government led by Sharjeel Inam Memon, Senior Minister and Minister for Transport & Mass Transit and Information and comprising of Qassim Naveed Qamar, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister, Government of Sindh, Khizar Pervaiz, CEO, Sindh Enterprise Development Fund (SEDF) attended the Launch Ceremony of the 2026 Hunan International Friendship Cities Economic and Trade Exchange Event & Cooperation Dialogue on September 18, 2026 at Changsha, Hunan Province, China.
The delegation was accompanied by Yasir Iqbal Butt, Consul General of Pakistan Guangzhou and Muhammad Imran, Trade and Investment Counsellor, Guangzhou.
The event was attended by ministers and other representatives from 28 countries of the world reflecting interest of these countries to explore the possibilities of cooperation with Hunan Province.
Mao Weiming, Governor of Hunan Province welcomed all the distinguished guests and urged the foreign delegates for developing stronger sister province relations between Hunan and their provinces.
Sharjeel Inam Memon interacted with the provincial leaders of Hunan province to develop and strengthen multi-faceted relations between Sindh Province and Hunan Province.
Participation of this high level delegation from Government of Sindh in the said event is likely to open up windows of opportunities for cooperation between Sindh Province and Hunan Province for attracting investment and to promote trade and people exchanges between the two provinces.
