Stable Afghanistan essential for making CPEC a success story: Senator Mushahid Hussain

During a virtual webinar to discuss the regional situation, Senator Mushahid Hussain said that there is broad consensus to bring Afghanistan under the BRI, and also apprised the audience about ensuring that Afghan soil isn’t used to spread cross-border terrorism. He said Pakistan is especially waiting for the situation in Afghanistan to stabilize so that the CPEC connectivity link to Central and Southwest Asia can be completed. This virtual dialogue was attended by experts from Iran, Pakistan, and Turkey.
