Trade Route via Kyrgyzstan-China approaching Pakistani Sea Ports to Connect Economies and People in Region, Kyrgyzstan Ambassador

PESHAWAR: Quadrilateral Traffic in Transit Agreement (QTTA) between Pakistan, China, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan will be highly beneficial for the economic and social integration of the region.

The short automobile route from Central Asia through border points of Kyrgyzstan to China and further to the sea ports of Pakistan will help link economies and people.

These views were expressed by Kyrgyz Ambassador Erik Beishembiev at International Conference on Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Trans-regional Integration organised by University of Peshawar and Centre for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS).

The conference was held with the participation of representatives of the Ministries and Agencies of Pakistan, Ambassadors of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, Diplomats from Russian and Iranian embassies, experts, students and mass media.

CPEC’s second phase can put Pakistan’s economy back on track

A memorandum of understanding was also signed between Kyrgyz State University and the University of Peshawar during the conference.

Moreover, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Akan Rakhmetullin speaking at the conference shed light on the importance of the Belt and Road Initiative and the CPEC project. He also underlined the significance of the project for regional integrity.

The ambassador also talked about potential of his country in various fields.
