Video contest celebrating 70 years of Pakistan-China relations launched

In commemoration of 70 years of bilateral relationship between Pakistan and China, the Chinese Embassy in cooperation with Likee has launched a short video contest on the theme of ’70 years of Togetherness.’This is a four-month long contest with a three-month preliminary phase, and one month for finale, ending in January 2022. Each month will have a theme, which for October is ‘My Story With China,’ whereas 18 videos each month will be rewarded, and qualified for the final round. All contestants have to share their video on Likee with the hashtag #MyStoryWithChina by October 25th.

ISLAMABAD: To celebrate the 70th anniversary of China-Pakistan Diplomatic relations, the Chinese Embassy in cooperation with Likee has launched a short video contest on the theme of ’70 years of Togetherness’, said a statement issued on Wednesday.

The contest starts from October with a three-month preliminary phase and one-month finale ending in January 2022, it added. One theme would be followed every month, therefore, for October the theme is ‘My Story with China’.

At the end of each month, 18 videos will be selected for a reward. The videos selected during the months will be directly admissible to the final round where five people’s best works will be highlighted.

The notification encouraged people to take part in the contest by shooting a short video with the hashtag #MyStoryWithChina on Likee by October 25. “Join now and a prize pool of over Rs2 million awaits!” it added.

The notification detailed the application process asking people to download the Likee app from Google Play or App Store and record or upload a video and enter #MyStoryWithChina in the input box to post it.
