Chinese ambassador meets COAS, discusses matters of mutual interest and security
As per Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), newly appointed Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong met Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa to discuss matters related to mutual interest and security. Ambassador Nong Rong said that CPEC will uplift the socio-economic status of the people of Pakistan. Moreover, both reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen bilateral relations.
RAWALPINDI: Incoming Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong called on Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters here on Monday.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest including regional security issues were discussed, said ISPR director general Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar in a tweet.
The meeting noted the exceptional mutual relations between the two countries. They pledged to further improve the same, it added. The Chinese ambassador acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan’s contribution to conflict prevention in the region.
