Roadmap Set at 4th Pakistan-China Think Tank Forum
The Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) and China’s CICIR convened the Fourth Pakistan-China Think Tank Forum to advance a roadmap for deeper cooperation, with speakers underscoring CPEC Phase-II priorities—industrialization, technological cooperation, green transition, agricultural modernization, and human capital development—alongside alignment with the 2025–29 Action Plan. Officials emphasized five partnership pillars (political trust, economic cooperation, people-centered development, security, multilateral coordination), synergies with China’s Global Development/Security/Civilization/Governance Initiatives, and milestones tied to Pakistan-China diplomatic anniversaries. Expert sessions assessed shifting geopolitics and affirmed CPEC’s role in regional connectivity, concluding with a reaffirmation that think-tank collaboration will support sustainable development and an even closer “Community with a Shared Future.”
