Pakistan, China reaffirm commitment to deepening bilateral and party-to-party relations

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Sun Haiyan, Vice Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, in Islamabad to discuss Pakistan–China bilateral relations, regional developments, and issues of mutual interest. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening party-to-party cooperation, maintaining high-level engagements, and deepening bilateral ties, while also emphasizing the expansion of cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, including academic, youth, and cultural initiatives.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Thursday met with Sun Haiyan, Vice Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, the regional situation, and other matters of mutual interest.

The Deputy Prime Minister appreciated the role of the Communist Party of China in further strengthening Pakistan–China friendship, and both sides agreed to maintain the momentum of high-level engagements.

Foreign Office spokesperson said that the two sides also agreed to further strengthen party-to-party cooperation and promote bilateral relations.

The meeting also underscored the importance of expanding cultural cooperation and enhancing people-to-people exchanges, including academic linkages, youth interactions, and cultural initiatives to foster deeper mutual understanding.
