China lauds PM’s commitment to take CPEC forward

Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson, Zhao Lijian appreciated Prime Minister of Pakistan’s recent remarks on CPEC, terming the project as ‘future of Pakistan’ during the agreement signing ceremony of Azad Patan Hydel Power Project under CPEC. Spokesperson added that CPEC follows the principle of consultation and cooperation for shared benefits and aims to promote the common development of China and Pakistan. CPEC over the past six years has added significantly towards the socio-economic development of Pakistan, he added. Reiterating its commitment, China is ready to closely work with Pakistan for high quality development of BRI.
