PM Khan to inaugurate CPHGC 1,320MW Power Plant in Hub today

Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Karachi today after which he will inaugurate China Power Hub Generation Company’s (CPHGC) 1320 Megawatt coal-fired power plant in Hub, Balochistan. CPHGC’s 1330 MW power plant achieved commercial operation on August 17, 2019. The plant is a joint venture between CPHGC and Hub Power Company Ltd. (HUBCO) with the estimated cost of $2 billion. It is one of the early harvest energy projects under CPEC which will add billion kWh of electricity to the national grid every year improving lives of four million households in Pakistan.
