PM Shehbaz Sharif lauds HS-1 launch; hails China ties

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised the efforts of Pakistani scientists and engineers on the successful launch of the country’s first hyperspectral imaging satellite, HS-1.

According to details, the premier has termed the launch as a significant milestone for the country’s space research capabilities and acknowledged the expertise and dedication of those involved in the project. The premier said that the collaboration between Pakistan and China in space research is both exemplary and of key strategic importance. He expressed gratitude to China, calling it a great, long-standing friend and strategic partner.

The premier said that the hearts of the Pakistani people beat in unison with the Chinese leadership and people, adding that the satellite will support Pakistan in researching climate change and geographical transformations.

He maintained that this advancement would mark a major step forward in combating the adverse effects of climate change.

PM Shehbaz said that the HS-1 satellite will significantly enhance national capabilities in sectors such as agriculture and disaster management.

It is pertinent to note that Pakistan had marked a historic milestone in its space journey with the successful launch of its first hyperspectral imaging satellite, HS-1, from China.

The satellite, launched in the presence of Pakistani scientists from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in China, promises to revolutionize environmental monitoring, urban planning, and agricultural management across the country.
